Then I use the course creator software from CT (costs extra but will be included in a huge software update in Feb ) to import the course to 3d mode in Computrainer.Ģ. Open the gpx file in topofusion and add elevation. Now, for the sprint interval, it actually worked well.
This seemed to work, but we lost Perf Pro’s ability to display FTP during the interval set. I map the course on Map My ride and then export it to a gpx file. So, basically, the Computrainer and Wahoo were set to do little more than set an easy grade (zero percent) during recover and a light grade (0.5) during a sprint interval. This means I can ride all the bike portion of all the races I register for prior to racing. You dont get turn by turn but you do get accurate elevation. You have to manipulate them a little with a topo program but it only takes 5 extra secs to create them. In 3d mode you can upload courses to it from a GPS or Map My Ride. There are 2 main benefits to Computrainer and both are worth their weight in gold.ġ.
Computrainer has been well worth the money for me.
